It was a windy and cold night at Oakwood Church on Tuesday night as the Levithan dropped their first game of the season to their White Stone Trinity brothers by a score of 11-10. The Leviathan had an early hole to dig out of as they were down 8-4 to start the bottom of the 6th inning, but the guys showed heart and made the comeback. The guys
came up to bat and put up a 6 run inning, highlighted by back-to-back homeruns. Shortstop Josh Watson had a booming homerun and then right fielder Jake Andrus followed it up with another homer to leftfield. Some amazing hustle and speed by Max Cavaiani saw him score and complete the 6-run 6th inning, to actually give the Leviathan the 10-8 lead going into the last inning. Unfortunately, the lead was gone in a hurry as the Trinity scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to take a one-run lead. After a few runners made it on in the bottom of the 7th, the Leviathan couldn’t quite get the job done and they lost 11-10.
The Leviathan look to bounce back next Tuesday @ Oakwood (6pm start) vs Divine Redeemer.
