Schweng Drops 2 Bombs

9 07 2015

Schweng's 2nd HRThe Leviathan bounced back after a tough defeat last week to Omega by defeating St Michaels by a score of 21-1. Many thought the Leviathan season was other after a scary calf injury to pitcher Matt Sell last week…but thanks to team doctors, Sell is on the road to recovery. Sell is currently in Colorado with the minor league club on a rehab assignment.

2nd baseman Luke Schweng starred in the win, as he hit 2 homers over the left-center field fence at Pabst Farms. Schweng also went 4-4 with 3rbi. White Stone put up multiple runs in all 6 innings (shortened game). 3rd baseman Adam Andrus also launched a pitch over the left-center field fence and went a team record 5-5 on the night, with 5 runs scored and 5rbi! Some of the other offensive stars for the Leviathan were Brandon Kane (4-5, 2B, run, 3rbi), Jake Andrus (5-5, 2B, 3B, 3runs, 4rbi), Tigh Kemnitz (3-5, 2B, 4runs), Brad Fraser (3-5, 3rbi), and pitcher Richard LaTour (3-4, 2runs).

The Leviathan are now 4-3 on the year, and will face CTK Church next week at the YMCA @6pm. It is Brandon Kane “Awesome Shorts Day” at the park. The first 7 people to arrive wearing Awesome Shorts will get into the game for free…and Brandon will autograph your shorts for you!
