Regular Season Finale Win

31 07 2013

RF Tigh KemnitzThe Leviathan closed out the 2013 regular season with a win last night, as they defeated the Divine Redeemer Crusaders by a score of 10-5. It was a hard fought game with bad conditions, as the light rain continued throughout the entirety of the game. White Stone played with only 10 players on the night—allowing for no substitutions. The win improves White Stone’s record to 8-3, while the loss dropped the Crusaders to 0-11.

White Stone had a few offensive standouts on the night: Tight Kemnitz (run, 3rbi), Brian Zastrow (2 hits, 2rbi), Adam Andrus (3 for 4, double, triple, run), Luke Schweng (2 hits, rbi), and Michael Javornik (hit, 2BB, 2runs, rbi).

The Leviathan have earned the #3 seed in the League, and because of that have received a 1st round bye in the playoffs. The guys will play next Tuesday (Aug 6) at 7pm at Legion Field vs the winner of the Christ the King Church/Westbrook Alpha game. Please continue to come on out and support the guys!!! We have had the best fans in the league–thanks to all of you who have cheered us on to a record 8 wins this (regular) season!
