Leviathan Beat CTK Church 21-0

2013 TEAM PICTUREThe White Stone Leviathan had a offensive resurgence on Tuesday night, as they beat up on Christ the King Church by a score of 21-0 at Fireman’s Park. The guys played a complete game, as they scored over 20 runs for the first time this season, and they recorded their first shutout in team history.

The Leviathan scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st, and never looked back. 13 out of 14 White Stoner’s recorded a hit in the game, while 11 out of 14 had multiple hits. The guys had many offensive leaders on the night, but here are a few of the key players from last night’s game: leadoff hitter Adam Andrus (4-4, 2 doubles, 3runs, rbi), shortstop Josh Watson (3-3, 2 runs, 3rbi), 1b Terry Andrus (3-3, 3 rbi, run), OF Brad Fraser (3-3, double, 3runs, rbi), and Brian Zastrow (2-3, 3rbi, run). The defense also played a large part in the game, keeping the errors to a minimum. Josh Watson provided some excitement with a spectacular double-play. Luke Schweng also made an inspiring over-the-shoulder catch running out to short right field from his second base position. Richard LaTour pitched a career game, as he pitched a complete game (6innings) shutout to get the win.

Game co-MVP Josh Watson commented to us after the game.
“Was this our most complete game of the season, you ask? Is Vin Diesel a great actor? Obviously the answer is YES. We played a fantastic game tonight and I am proud of our guys. I’m also excited because Karina promised me a happy meal if we won tonight and I played my hardest—oh, and if I had a good attitude. Hopefully we will be heading to McDonald’s soon!! I can’t wait!!!”

White Stone improves to 3-2 on the season, while CTK Church fall to 1-4. Next week the Leviathan take on DR Beacons–the team who knocked them out of last years’ playoffs. The game is once again @7pm at Fireman’s Park in Delafield. Thank you to you amazing fans for all of your support! Please continue to cheer loud and proud!!
