Leviathan Knocked Out of Playoffs

1 08 2012

Last year White Stone knocked the DR Beacons out of the League Playoffs…this year, the Beacons returned the favor as they stomped the Leviathan by a score of 20-3. The Beacons jumped out to a 7-1 lead after two innings and never looked back.

White Stone was uncharacteristically sloppy on defense, committing several key errors during the course of the game. The bats also fell asleep for the biggest game of the season. There were a couple bright spots for the team, however. Brad Bayerline & Robert Murphy picked up a team high 3 hits each. Luke Dye, Tigh Kemnitz, and Michael Javornik had 2 hits a piece.

The Leviathan close out the season with a loss in the 2nd round of the playoffs…the first time in 4 years they didn’t reach the 3rd round. They finish with a overall record of 7-5.
