White Stone Get Crushed by Champs

19 07 2012

On Tuesday night White Stone faced off against league power Oakwood Red at the YMCA. The result was not good: a 25-9 loss. The game started out with some promise, as White Stone scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning, but there was a quick 180degree change as Oakwood rallied for 9 in their half of the 1st. They never looked back. The win for Oakwood Red gives them a 10-0 record and secures another regular season championship for them.

There were a few offensive bright spots for the Leviathan on the night. Adam Andrus (3-3, 1 run), Doug Harper (3-3, 1 run, RBI), TKemnitz (3-3, 1 run, RBI), Jake Andrus (3-3, double, triple, 2 runs, RBI), and Terry Andrus (2 RBI) helped make things respectable.

The loss drops the Leviathan’s record to 6-4 and into 6th place in the league. White Stone will now be without 2 of their star players for the rest of the season, as shortstop Josh Watson and Pitcher/IF Doug Harper will be on a missions trip in Malawi, Africa for 3 weeks. You can learn more about the trip by CLICKING HERE. Next week will be the regular season finale as the White Stone Leviathan will take on their Men of Stone brothers, the White Stone Behemoths. The game will be played at 7pm @ Legion Field in Delafield. Please plan on coming out to support both White Stone teams! The first 23 people will receive a baseball autographed by Leviathan star first baseman, Jim Fraser!
