Huge Offensive Night for White Stone vs Christ the King

14 06 2012

The White Stone Leviathan Softball team continued its winning ways with a 24-5 victory over Christ the King Church at the YMCA @ Pabst Farms. Several players came out and had 3 hits (A Andrus, Watson, J Andrus, Hansen, Murphy, & Kemnitz) for the game. Josh Watson led all White Stonians with an incredible 6 RBI, which included two home runs. Jake Andrus also added two home runs and Adam Andrus added 1 home run as well. First Baseman Terry Andrus took over the team lead in Triples as he again legged one out on Tuesday night. Richard LaTour started the game on the mound for the MOS and had some “Gold Glove” fielding, catching a screamer in the 2nd Inning. Doug Harper not only closed the game out as the pitcher, but also showed why he is one of White Stone’s top hitters (2 hits, double, 3 runs, 2 RBI).

Triples King Terry Andrus had this to say after the big win,
“I get excited when I get to the plate. I’m also looking to take the extra base—to go the extra mile. That’s why I’m the team Triples leader. I’m deceptively fast. I remember a couple years ago I stole home in a softball game—yeah, I was called “out”, but I think I sent a message to all the other teams in the league. Oh, and yeah, it was a good win for us tonight!”

The White Stone Leviathan looks to get it’s 4th win in a row as they host the Divine Redeemer Beacons at Fireman’s Park at 7pm (Tuesday, June 19). It is “LaTour Stache Night,” and all fans who wear real or fake mustache’s get Free Richard LaTour Coffee Mugs! Please come out and support the team!

A special congrats to the White Stone Behemoth for picking up it’s first ever franchise ”W” as they beat up on Westbrook Alpha on Tuesday night. Great work brothers!
