White Stone Split DH

Matt and Doug look on Intently

It was a mosquito infested night at Dousman Field, as the MOS split a double-header on Tuesday night.
In the first game, the Men of Stone faced a tough Westbrook Alpha squad. An early deficit was too much for the guys to make up, as they fell 17-11. Josh Watson, Jake Andrus, and Richard LaTour each had 3 hits in the loss.
In the nightcap, the men from White Stone faced a familiar opponent, playing DMLC1…a team that White Stone had beaten earlier in the season by a score of 8-4. Even though they fell in an early hole, White Stone came fighting back, and eventually took the lead for good. The final score of the game was 13-8.
White Stone hit a total of 6 homeruns on the night (2-Adam Andrus, 2-Jake Andrus, 2-Robert Murphy). Adam Andrus and Robert Murphy combined for 7 RBI in the game. Michael Javornik also did his part while making a great catch playing out-of-position in center field.
The Men of Stone finish the regular season with a record of 7-5, and they look to get their 8th win next week in the League Tournament—which would give them their most single-season victories in their 4 year history.
Stay tuned for the tournament schedule–it should be out soon!
