Big Offensive Output leads to MOS Win!

Take Our Poll for this week’s game MVP

The bats came alive Tuesday night as the MOS Softball team won their second game as they defeated Westbrook Omega 20-10. The MOS got off to a quick start and jumped to an early 8-0 lead in the second inning. After an early injury to starting pitcher Doug Harper, the MOS feared that they may be in for a long game. Thankfully, Richard LaTour stepped in and stepped up, finishing out the game in a nice performance.

Besides the offensive output, the MOS gloves came up big, also. There was great fielding from every position, and a spectacular inning ending play from middle infield of Josh Watson and Adam Andrus lead the way.

Shortstop Josh Watson had this to say about the game, “I was kind of hoping we’d get rained out tonight…tonight and tomorrow are the final American Idol’s, and i really didn’t want to miss them. But, i suppose the game went as well as it could’ve. It was a real team effort tonight and i was proud of everyone. Even our Tex-Mex, JDodd was able to help out in the victory!”

The MOS were also very aggressive on the base paths, taking advantage of Westbrook miscommunication and taking the extra base whenever possible.

Come out and support the MOS this coming Tuesday as they take on the Divine Redeemer Crusaders (6pm @ Fireman’s Park)!

Great job on the win, men…keep hitting and playing D the way we have, and we will be hard to beat!
Good work MOS!

ps-if you would like to buy the jersey (that many were wearing this past game) talk to Craig Pruscha on Sunday, they are $20. Also, be sure to get $3 to Matt Sell to help with League dues.
